A NFL Holiday Treat

First off, I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday. This holiday season, the NFL has given its fans a real treat, although unplanned. The Sunday Night Football game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Minnesota Vikings has been postponed until Tuesday Night due to the fierce blizzard that hit the Northeast. The blizzard postponed the game for the safety of the fans, there has been over 100 weather related incidents in the Philadelphia region and the mayor declared a state of emergency.

Why is this a treat? This means that you can watch the NFL for four consecutive days for a total of five out of six days that started on Festivus. If you’re like me, this is a great situation. I have a feeling that wives and girlfriends may disagree, but its the holidays, right?

On the other end of the spectrum, the Eagles-Vikings game will decide many Fantasy Football Championship matches (including mine) and having to wait for the results can be agonizing. There is a high possibility owners of Vick, Maclin, McCoy, Jackson, and Peterson are in the championship and the score may be lopsided headed into Tuesday night. The other factor weighing on the minds of the owners is the reason why the game was postponed – a blizzard. Who knows what the conditions will be like on Tuesday and it may greatly affect the players.

Enjoy the treat! You never know when/if it will happen again, as far as I can remember this is the first time it has happened like this.

What are your thoughts on the postponement?
