We have very similar results in the AL, but pretty different in the NL.

The Cubs in the World Series is an interesting pick. I really like the addition of Garza to the rotation and getting Kerry Wood back was a great deal, but I'm not sold the team as a whole. Dempster and Garza are solid. Zambrano is unreliable at this point in his career and the rest are average back of the rotation guys.

Vazquez is an interesting player. He followed the best season of his career with his worst (excluding his horrible rookie season). I think the NL East is a good situation for him, he was 4th in the CY Young his sole year with the Braves.

The Vazquez comment drops your credibility... he will be kicked out of the rotation if not released by June. Here are some real preseason predictions:

AL East: Yankees, Red Sox*, Orioles, Blue Jays, Rays
AL Central: White Sox, Tigers, Twins, Indians, Royals
AL West: Rangers, Angels, Athletics, Mariners

NL East: Phillies, Braves*, Mets, Marlins, Nationals
NL Central: Cubs, Reds, Brewers, Cardinals, Pirates, Astros
NL West: Dodgers, Giants, Rockies, Padres, Diamondbacks

World Series: Red Sox over Cubs

Football is a team game so super bowl wins crap can be taken out of context to much when us intelligent people know football is the ultimate team game. Put Brady on Bengals team and lets see how he fairs. My Eyes tells me for pure passing. 1. Moon/Marino 2. Manning. 3.Fouts 4.Tarkenton 5. Farve
For runnning: 1.vick 2. mcnabb 3. tarkenton 4 randal 5. young. Toughness: 1. Mcnair. 2 Farve 3. Big ben, 4. mcnabb 5. Young.

if the bears were playing the saints in new orleans, i may agree, but the bears at home in january is something i wouldn't bet against

also, i think the falcons are not getting the credit they deserve. i haven't really heard anything about the team this year. matt ryan is nearly invincible at home. i don't think he is going to lose, especially against a wild car team

as for the ravens/chiefs, i don't really see much coming from the chiefs. they couldn't even beat the raiders this year. i just looked at the chiefs schedule, and they only beat one team over .500 (jacksonville). the ravens have quality wins over fellow playoff teams (jets, saints, steelers). also, the chiefs rushing statistics are inflated. i mean, when you get to play the browns, 49ers, titans, rams, broncos (x2), seahawks, cardinals, bills, and even the raiders (x2), those numbers don't look as impressive

I can see the Saints beating the Bears for one main reason - I'm not sold on Jay Cutler in a big game. He is inconsistent and I think he will make mental mistakes that could cost them the game.

The Packers definitely have a chance against the Falcons. In Week 12, the Packers lost 20-17 against the Falcons in Atlanta. It was a field goal with 9 seconds left that put the Falcons over the top. The Packers have a great defense and they can score with anybody when Rodgers has it going.

I agree the Patriots are clearly the favorite and Tom Brady is definitely making an argument to not only be a Top 3 QB all-time, but to be the best ever if his career keeps going like it is now.

I do not feel obligated to pick teams I know won't win, as I already mentioned the Packers have a strong chance to make the Super Bowl. The Chiefs is probably my riskiest pick, but they play great at home, their rushing offense is tremendous, and they don't turn the ball over. As good as the Ravens defense is, I think they will be on the field for a long time and they have been notorious for being softer in the 4th quarter. The Ravens offense was inconsistent all season and if they are not on their A game, I see the upset coming.

I can't see the Saints beating the Bears. As nice as it would be for a wild card to make it to the super bowl, that's not going to happen. Packers have no chance against the Falcons.

Patriots will definitely stay the favorite and I like their chance of winning. If they do in fact win, Tom Brady will be a top 3 QB of all time (Marino, Montana).

Also, the chiefs suck. Don't feel obligated to pick teams you know won't win (chiefs, packers), just to make the underdogs feel better.

I think you should have Cowboys vs Everyone Else and possibly do the same thing for the Patriots. Everyone seems to think they have a rivalry when they verse these 2 teams

I am also from an area with fans of both and I must say that I disagree. In the past the Cowboys were the bigger rivals, but with the emergence of the Phillies and Yankees, the Philly fans care more about beating New York in all sports and the New York about beating Philadelphia. Oh, also straight from Philadelphia - http://insidetheiggles.com/2010/11/19/eagles-giants-is-fiercest-rivalry-for-philadelphia/

Bears vs Packers is a big rivalry and would certainly make a top ten list, but top five I can't see it. Cowboys/ Redskins is also big, but I would rank Cowboys/Giants or Eagles over that rivalry. There were quite a few other rivalries that were considered as well.

Thanks for the comment!
