NFL Power Rankings – Week 9 (adjusted)

Written by Mike on November 8, 2009

Welcome to a special edition of the MikesPickz NFL Power Rankings!

I want to thank everyone that commented to me on Twitter, e-mail and the comments section about the original week 9 rankings. I have taken a long hard look at the formula that I introduced as a BETA this week, and I have made a minor tweak and I must say that the resulting rankings are even better now.

Be sure to read my original rankings, here, for my thoughts on each of the teams.

  1. I like these rankings a lot more. I would put Steelers over Cowboys though, until the Cowboys can be consistent with beating good teams. I think the Eagles should be ranked above the Falcons as well. Other than that, it looks perfect.

    • Thanks.

Honestly I think you are right about the Steelers and Cowboys. The actual separation according to my formula was .1 difference between the two. And I also agree with the Eagles and Falcons, the actual separation with my formula for them was .9. So they are definitely very close in terms of rankings.
