ShamROCKED: Alabama dominates Notre Dame to Win Second Consecutive BCS Title

The verdict is in: Alabama is that good. Notre Dame was completely dominated during the BCS Championship game. It was actually hard to watch at times.
Alabama vs Notre Dame BCS Championship
Manti Te’o, the Heisman runner-up, did not shine on the biggest National Stage before he enters the draft. He missed more tackles in this game than he had for the entire season. Notre Dame, which allowed only two 100-yard rushers all season, allowed two 100-yard rushers in this game (Eddie Lacey & T.J. Yeldon). Notre Dame, which had allowed only 10.3 points per game this season, allowed 42 points to Alabama.

Alabama continued their domination in the BCS Championship game. After defeating LSU 21-0 last year, they completely dominated Notre Dame. Nick Saban has a dynasty on his hands, and they aren’t going away anytime soon.

In fact the football game was so one-sided and poorly played by Notre Dame, three of the biggest stories from this game aren’t even football related.

First, the ESPN announcers created a bit of an akward moment when discussing A.J. McCarron’s girlfriend (2012 Miss Alabama – Katherine Webb). Check it out below:

Second, with the score 42-14 in the fourth quarter, A.J. McCarron and Center Barrett Jones got into a shove match after a botched play call that led to a delay of game. The game was over, no need to do that on the National stage:

Third, when interviewing Barrett Jones after the game, he disclosed that he played the game with a lisfranc injury that will probably need surgery to fix. That’s toughness, and hopefully he recovers well and it doesn’t affect his draft stock too much.

The Luck of the Irish simply ran out tonight.
