The MikesPickz NFL Picks are back again for the 2020-21 season. My 15th season making picks against the spread!
Since the new format was well received last year, I will be sticking with it again this season – that is a list of games and my picks rather than the old grid format. The favorite will be marked with the spread in parenthesis next to the team name. For example, Patriots (-6.5).
That’s about the only thing that is the same this season when compared to last season. Football as we know it is going to look very different this season with no or very limited fans attending each game. But hey, Chargers fans won’t have to see the stadium decked out in the other team’s colors this season. But in all seriousness, it is going to be interesting to see how this affects home field advantages throughout the league.
As usual, I will make my picks for each game, every week of the NFL season using the point spread from the NY Daily News on Wednesday. After each week, the post will be updated with the results. My full pick record for all seasons can be found on the historical picks page.
I will continue to make my best bet pick and that will be indicated next to the game. My best bet is the team that I feel is most likely to win and cover the spread this week.

- The pick: Texans (+10) – LOSS – Hard to go against the defending champs in week one, but the Texans are no slouch. After the playoff embarrassment last year, I think the Texans come out with something to prove and keep this game close.

In this section, I will post my pick for a survivor pool. Once a team is used, I can’t use them again for the rest of the season. The team selected only has to win the game, not cover the spread. Pick One and Pick Two are independent of each other. If I use a team with Picks One, I can use them later with Pick Two.
