Last night, the Cleveland Cavaliers got annihilated by the Los Angeles Lakers. Well, maybe that was an understatement, the Cavs lost 112- 57. They only scored 25 points in the first half. It is safe to say that they were never in the game and it is no surprise that the Cavs have the worst record in the NBA.
When the game was getting out of hand, LeBron tweeted:
Crazy. Karma is a b****.. Gets you every time. Its not good to wish bad on anybody. God sees everything!
Presumably the tweet was directed at the Cavs since they had nothing nice to say to him when he left for the Miami Heat. I think it was directed at Dan Gilbert and the fans that burned his jersey – not the Cavs players. The players didn’t wish bad upon him, in fact the first time LeBron returned to Cleveland, they were palling around with him.
LeBron gave Cleveland seven tremendous seasons in which they went from the first draft pick to the best record in the NBA. Yes, he failed to deliver a championship, but look at the surrounding cast – Gilbert did not do a good job of bringing the pieces around him. That truth is evident now as the Cavs have the worst record in the entire NBA.
I feel bad for the Cavs, but I still think Dan Gilbert was an embarrassment to the league for writing his open letter when LeBron left the team via Free Agency.
