The Los Angeles Clippers have officially come to terms with the Boston Celtics to have Coach Doc Rivers coach in LA next season. It has been reported that the Clippers will be sending a 2015 first round pick to the Celtics in order for the Celtics to release Rivers from the 3 years and $21 million left on his contract.
If this deal is the reason that Chris Paul resigns with LA, I like the deal. Otherwise, I’m not sure I would have done this, there are plenty of good coaches still available and the commissioner’s office seems dead set on not approving a deal to send Kevin Garnett to LA.
